Spring break 2022

Our recent stay was great, and everything is as pictured. We had a few glitches though. Some were fixed and some not. The response was professional, just wished we didn’t have to spend so much time trying to get ahold of them and go without for three days. We arrived Saturday early evening and noticed right away 2 of the 3 Adirondack chairs on the balcony were broken and unuseable. After calling and leaving messages and sending emails we were still not contacted until we called again on Monday and then did not have issues addressed until Monday after 5:30 pm. We had the happy stays app to contact them and the phone number on the email, they seemed to have not received either of these. The other issues were the TVs in bedroom and living room did not work, ice maker did not work and the bathroom fan did not work. On Monday evening we did get the chairs replaced and TVs working (tvs looked like they were plugged in but didn’t have a good connection and the cable wasn’t working so we had to make several calls to the cable company.) I would highly suggest having the balcony Adirondack chairs replaced with chairs that have a view above the railing. It’s such a waste of a beautiful view to have to sit and look through bars of the railing.

Slice of heaven cabin

The virtual app on the Happy Stays site was very helpful. Everyone was able to pick out the room they wanted to stay in and see the layout of the house . We brought our family of 13 for a weeks stay. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for our kids and grandkids. Nice deck with beautiful views and sunsets. The pool and game room was a “hit” with our grandkids ages 4-13. We had a few issues during our stay. Could not get the surround sound to work in the media room. We were told someone would come by to fix that, however no one showed up. We sent an email with no response . The kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses, bowls and cups, however not enough cutlery for 13 people and no mixing bowls. We had a problem with the light switch in the pool room and in one of the bathrooms. The pool maintenance was great. They showed up on the scheduled days and the pool and hot tub were very clean. I feel that the house needs a little maintenance, we did see several centipedes in the lower level.

House nice but has issues

Family of 10 with 4 kids stayed for 5 nights. House was not clean at all. Theater room tv turned on but couldn’t get anything to work luckily we brought our fire stick from home to use, top of stove had a thick film of grease, kitchen utensils were found under the beds, popcorn in the chairs in theater room, dishes had food on them when taken out of cupboards, hot tub SMELLED like a dirty fish tank and was green, septic leaked out and overflowed, toilet paper and water shot out the top when toilets were flushed, sewage smell was so bad in the downstairs the bedroom could not be used, the washer smelled musty and made the clothes smell, the dryer control panel plate had been duck taped but had still fallen forward, sparked when turned on and did not work. Maintenance came out to check the septic and said it was “normal” and “just don’t use the dryer.” Toilet paper and sewage was all around the septic and you can tell this had not been the first issue with the washer/dryer either. We are not ones to ever complain or make a bad review because we understand things happen/ get worn out etc… However we feel these two major issues are a huge sanitation and fire hazard that seem not to make priority.
